Tea toned cyanotypes on cotton with 18 karat liquid gold
~ 12 x 12 centimeters, irregular shape
Getting to know the city is like getting to know a person. You learn the stories, the history and things unique to the place. If you discover the city with someone who is native to the place it also deepens your understanding of that person.
Tea toned cyanotypes of the city Le Mans. The bue of the cyanotype symbolises for me calmness, security and care. That is the base of any exploration. Tea-toned blue. Each walk around the city starts for me with sharing a cup of tea with my partner. The warmth of sepia permeates the calmness of blue. The city of Le Mans is fascinating. It combines deep historical roots with bold modern innovations, vibrant art and exciting music. I take it all in with curiosity. The images I pick seem spontaneous but they are deeply interconnected. The finishing touches of 18k liquid gold express the joy of shared experience. Tea toned cyanotypes on cotton. The streets of the city are being woven into the fabric of my life.
